Agriculture influences the economy of Bangladesh. Over 20 percent of her GDP come from agriculture. The productivity of soil of Bangladesh is one of the lowest in the world although it is being considered being very fertile.The production of wheat in calcarious grey soil shows that Improved Plough (IP) II is advantegious in terms of depth of ploughing, yield and yield components. Heighest gain yield was obtained with ploughing up to 7.3cm depth using IP II.
